Our music ministry provides a balance between traditional and contemporary music using piano and organ to enhance the worship experience of our parishioners.
Our choir season runs from September (after Labor Day) until Pentecost.
The traditional "adult" choir sings twice a month at the 11 am Mass (usually on the 2nd and 4th Sundays), as well as major feast days and other special events. This choir rehearses on Thursdays at 7 pm in the church. We are always welcoming new choir members to our adult choir. All that is needed is a love of singing!
The school/youth choir will sing on the 1st Sunday of the month at the 11 am Mass on Fellowship Sundays.
We are looking to grow our youth choir to sing at the 11 am Mass on the first Sunday of each month. If the choir continues to grow, we may start singing on feasts and Holidays.
We are also looking for any instrumentalists who would like to share their time and talents with our parish. We welcome all instrumentalists including, but not limited to, guitar, violin, flute, etc.
We are in the process of developing a "contemporary ensemble" to sing one Sunday a month at Mass, which would include high school-aged youth who would like to share any vocal or instrumental talents.
Keith Minnery, our Music Director, welcomes any and all feedback for the St. Therese Music Ministry as we continue to grow our ministry in numbers. If you have any questions, please contact him at kminnery@gmail.com.
Regarding weddings, please contact Keith directly to help plan the music for your special day. Keith also works with many professional cantors and instrumentalists.
In the event of a funeral, please contact Keith as he is also available for funerals.
